Doctor Appointment

So I took Monkey to the doctor today. We've noticed his spine curves to his left and his abdomen is distended to the right. Dr. C is not sure which is the primary problem--does he have a spine problem (like scoliosis) that is pushing his abdomen sideways, or is there a problem in his abdomen (like an enlarged liver) that is pushing his spine sideways? So we have an X-ray and ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday. He won't be able to eat for 4 hours beforehand, so that should be interesting.

On the plus side, it was really fun just having one baby to interact with. Monkey loves being talked to and is becoming so expressive. I've fallen into a bad pattern (which other twin mamas have said they do, too) that I don't do much one-on-one time with the twins. I feel like if I'm just holding one, I'm neglecting the other, so I just neglect them both equally. I'll have to get over that and make some time for each twin separately.

The individual pics turned out great, but the ones of them together are dark. I may try again later today or tomorrow.

Scam Spam

So my e-mail has been corrupted by scam spam again. In the last 24 hours, I've gotten contacted by 17 banks, delivery services, lawyers, etc. all telling me I'm getting between $800,000 and $1.2 million from Nigeria. Sweet, $17,000,000 for me! All I have to do is let them steal my identity!

Yeah, does UPS use a g-mail account to tell you they have a package for you?

Oh, and I've been hired by Hampton Inns (who also uses a g-mail account) even though I didn't apply! But first I have to let them steal my identity to confirm employment. Who knew it was so easy to get a job in this economy?

Drama, Drama, Drama

Smartie the Drama Queen was playing outside with her princess dolls. While she was standing on a ladder, a thread came loose from Sleeping Beauty's hem and blew away in the wind. She cried for 45 minutes about it. Really! Then she drew this picture:

I tried to comfort her by telling her a mama bird would pick it up and use it in her nest to keep her babies warm. Now she is FURIOUS at that bird for stealing her thread and wants to know if she can have some money to buy it back. All this over a THREAD!
